The giant panda is removed from the list of endangered species.

In 2016, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) announced that the giant panda was no longer considered an “Endangered” species. It was moved to the “Vulnerable” category. This happened because the number of pandas living in the wild had increased to about 1,864 pandas.

This news was an important step for the protection of the species. For many years, giant pandas had suffered from a decrease in their population and the loss of their natural habitat. The change in category meant that the risk of extinction had become lower, although pandas were still not completely safe.

However, giant pandas still face some important problems. One of the main concerns is the future of bamboo forests, because bamboo is their main source of food. Scientists also warned that climate change could affect bamboo and make it harder for pandas to find enough food.

For this reason, being removed from the “Endangered” category did not mean that giant pandas were completely safe. Their populations and habitats still need to be protected and monitored to make sure that their numbers do not decrease again.

  3. Right, you’ve included all the links to your classmates’ blogs – the only thing is, you’ve included your own as well; I’d recommend removing it. Well done

  4. I like your title, but the image behind it is missing; even though you haven't included it, it still looks good because the blog's design remains visible.
